Ron Washington not ready to announce Opening Day lineup

Via Calvin Watkins of ESPN Dallas, Ron Washington says he's not ready to announce the Opening Day lineup, although Watkins says there are some folks who definitely will be in there:

Washington did confirm Julio Borbon will play in the Friday season opener. After that expect: Elvis Andrus, Adrian Beltre, Ian Kinsler, Michael Young, Josh Hamilton and Yorvit Torrealba to play.

There's a rather glaring omission in there that I'm assuming is simply an oversight on Watkins' part, and not because there's a real question about whether that player should be in the lineup.

The one thing up in the air appears to be first base.  We heard earlier this spring that Mike Napoli would be in the lineup Opening Day against Boston lefty Jon Lester, but now there's some indication Napoli could possibly be sitting for Mitch Moreland.

If the Rangers aren't going to have Mike Napoli in the lineup against virtually every left handed starter, I'm not sure why they would have traded for him.  Whether he's behind the plate, at DH, or at first base, Napoli should be in there against lefties, and I don't see a problem with letting Mitch Moreland sit the first day of the season...he'll have plenty of opportunities as the year goes on.
