Happy birthday to Joe Lahoud, who turns 64 today.
Lahoud was a corner outfielder who spent most of his career with the Angels and Red Sox, but who also spent a few months in the 1976 season as part of the Texas Rangers' bench.
The Rangers acquired him for cash from the Milwaukee Brewers on June 15, 1976, and Lahoud put up a .225/.303/.315 line in 100 plate appearances, primarily as a DH.
Texas released him after the season, and he ended up spending two more years in the majors with the Kansas City Royals.
