Saturday morning Rangers stuff

So, yeah...after the unhappiness and drama over Anaheim taking two of three from Texas, with the Rangers dropping into second place for the first time in almost a year, Anaheim has lost two in a row, Texas won yesterday, and the Rangers are now back in first place.

Jeff Wilson's game story talks about the Rangers taking advantage of the jet stream last night with five homers, four of them to left field.

T.R. Sullivan's game story has quotes from a couple of the Rangers' newly-added positional players marveling at how well the ball traveled.

Richard Durrett talks about Derek Holland bouncing back from a bad inning.

Evan Grant has a piece behind the paywall about Derek Holland.

T.R. Sullivan has a lot of notes up, including stuff on Ron Washington feeling that Nelson Cruz needs to keep playing every day to get out of his slump and a Tommy Hunter update.

The S-T's notes talk about Alexi Ogando's workload, which the Rangers aren't planning on limiting, along with providing Brandon Webb and Scott Feldman updates.

Durrett says Cruz is working to get back in a groove at the plate.

Matt Treanor and Jeff Francoeur got their American League Championship rings yesterday.
