3-0 - Rangers Sweep Red Sox

Sure, David Murphy got his second big hit of the season, in as many at-bats, when he got the Rangers on the board with a home run in the 2nd. And yes, Ian Kinsler and Nelson Cruz became the only teammates in baseball history to hit a home run in each on the first three days of the season. And it is true that the new catcher/first baseman, who as of a couple of months ago had "sports hate" for some of his now current teammates, hit his second dong of the year in his second game of the year. But that wasn't the story today. The story today was Matt Harrison.

7 innings, 5 hits, 1 earned run, 2 BBs, 8 Ks against the best offense (non-Rangers division) in the American League.

That was Harrison's line and he pitched even better than that looks. It was a wow moment. It may be one game but if this is the new mature, learned Matt Harrison, then the Rangers do in fact have themselves a new #3.

I can't imagine a better opening series than the one we've seen this weekend.
