Mother's Day Rangers things

Everyone in the A.L. West except Texas lost yesterday, so the Rangers added a game in the standings across the board, and are a game back of Anaheim now.

Jeff Wilson's game story talks about Michael Young's hot streak, with Young having been on fire with the bat just about all season.

T.R. Sullivan's game story has praise for the bullpen and for Julio Borbon, who drove in two runs with a triple and another with a suicide squeeze bunt.

Don't look now, but Borbon has a 703 OPS and a 95 OPS+ on the season.

Wilson has a piece on Nelson Cruz's injury, and how that is going to impact playing time.

Sullivan's notes talk about Craig Gentry getting the call up to fill in for Cruz, rather than Doug Deeds or Endy Chavez, in large part because he's a righthanded hitter, and the other outfielders on the team are all lefties.

The S-T's notes talk about Dave Bush replacing Alexi Ogando on the mound today, Chris Davis getting more playing time with Nelson Cruz out, and Brandon Webb and Scott Feldman's rehab.

Jim Caple has a story at ESPN about the old guys in the Ranger bullpen.

Darren O'Day feels good about where he is in recuperating from his hip surgery.
