When I fell asleep last night, the score was 3-3.  I wake up, and see the Rangers went up 8-3, and then allowed a 6 run inning to fall behind 9-8, and didn't score again.

Alas.

Jeff Wilson's game story details that six run sixth, that included two infield singles and a missed cutoff man.

T.R. Sullivan notes in his game story that this is the largest lead the Rangers have blown this year.

Evan Grant talks about the meaning of yesterday's loss, and Derek Holland's issues commanding his fastball last night, which led to the Angels putting up runs against him.

Jeff Caplan has his reactions to last night's game up at ESPN Dallas.

The S-T's notes talk about Nelson Cruz getting a day off, which he wasn't happy about, and Andres Blanco being slowed in his return from the disabled list.

Sullivan's notes also hit on those issues, along with Darren Oliver's workload and Ron Washington's thoughts on the recent schedule.

Caplan writes that Ron Washington and Derek Holland aren't discouraged after Holland's rough start.

Evan Grant has a piece behind the paywall about Scott Coolbaugh and his loss of his brother, Mike Coolbaugh, who was killed four years ago.

Anthony Andro writes about the Rangers' shutout streak at FSSW.
