Sunday morning Rangers things

The Good Derek Holland showed up yesterday, on a day where the Rangers desperately needed the Good Derek Holland to show up, given the lineup they were running out there...Jim Sundberg said on Twitter that it looked like a spring training split squad lineup.

Jeff Wilson's game story says that there is no starting pitcher reasonably available at the trade deadline who would be an upgrade over Holland.

T.R. Sullivan's game story has some quotes from Holland about what Ron Washington did to him when he came out to talk to him in the second inning, and notes that Holland is the first Ranger to have four shutouts in a season since Doc Medich in 1981.

Bryan Dolgin has his post-game reactions to the Holland shutout.

Wilson has a story on the acquisition of Koji Uehara, who Jon Daniels says is someone who is not just a short-term rental, but should be around in 2012, as well.

Richard Durrett has his thoughts on the Uehara acquistion.  Durrett also has Q&As with Tommy Hunter and Chris Davis on their leaving Texas and joining the Orioles.

Wilson's notes talk about yesterday's odd lineup working, and Matt Harrison's struggles against lefthanded pitchers this year.

Kevin Sherrington says that if the Rangers can get John Danks by trading Derek Holland, they should make that deal.
