Wednesday Morning Debate Roundup

Wherein LSB goes political... Nothing but debate links this morning.

Tim Heitman-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

No, I'm just kidding. Wouldn't that be awful?

Gil Lebreton says the Rangers need to address some issues if they want to make the playoffs again. While that is hardly newsworthy, he does take a swipe at Roy Oswalt, which will always get a thumbs up from me. He also poo-poo's trading Derek Holland for Jacoby Elsbury, saying that Holland could be on the doorstep of putting it all together. So there ya have it, Derek Holland is the new Adam Eaton... a guy perpetually on the verge of breaking out. Even if he's Adam Eaton, it's probably stupid to trade him for Elsbury, so there's that.

Evan Grant has a post about the new CBA, and how it means we'll likely still get draft compensation for Josh Hamilton and possibly Mike Napoli. And Richard Durrett says the Brewers could make a push for Hamilton, which would mean, what, the 13th pick?

Durrett continues his Texas Ten series of posts by asking who will be coming back to the bullpen next year. Spoiler alert: the answer is not Scott Feldman or Roy Oswalt.

Finally, scientists discovered an extrasolar planet orbiting one of the stars in the Alpha Centauri trinary system. Brett Perryman is already scouting it for 13 year olds with live arms.
