LSB Meetup -- See Astros/Rangers in the Opening Series

I wanted to update everyone about doing an LSB Meetup here in Houston for the Opening Series of the 2013 season, when the Rangers will play the Astros at Minute Maid Field.

Opening Day is on Tuesday, April 2, and that's always crowded and hectic, so we're not going to do Opening Day. I'm thinking Wednesday, April 3, although Thursday, April 4, is also a possibility, if that would work better.

I've been in touch with someone in group sales with the Astros, and we are likely looking at tickets being around $25-35 per person.

There are a couple of different options. One is to do the "Coke Corner" -- you can see info about it here. The plus side of this is that its a patio area, and so it makes socializing and such easier than if everyone is sitting in a regular seat. The down side is that its out beyond centerfield, so it isn't as good a view as other areas. Also, there's a maximum of 50 people who can be there, and I'm not sure if we'd have more than that.

There's also an "All You Can Eat" section there, which is up in the upper level of the right field stands. Again, not that close to the action, but you can eat all you want.

Or we could shoot for regular seats and just try to get as close to the action as possible.
