Former Ranger Dave May passed away over the weekend. He was 68.
May spent ten years in the majors, playing for the Orioles, the Brewers, the Pirates, the Rangers, and the Braves. He was acquired by the Rangers prior to the 1977 season in a package that Atlanta sent in exchange for Jeff Burroughs. May spent the 1977 season with Texas, then was sold to Milwaukee early in the 1978 season.
The Hardball Times has a tribute to Dave May up, acknowledging his passing.
