Per Yahoo Sports' Tim Brown, the Oakland A's have reportedly agreed to terms with Cuban defector, outfield prospect and YouTube sensation Yoenis Cespedes.
According to Susan Slusser, the deal will be 4 years, $36 million.
Cespedes is a 26 year old who defected in the summer of 2011. A power hitter whose arm and range is expected to allow him to stick in centerfield, Cespedes was seen as a potential 5 tool player who could likely step into a major league lineup quickly.
Cespedes will presumably go into the 2012 season as the A's starting centerfielder.
UPDATE -- Peter Gammons says that Cespedes will be a free agent after 2015, rather than being arbitration-eligible (as most players with four years of major league service time would be).
