Tuesday Morning Rangers Update

Pitchers and Catchers. Tomorrow.

A lot of Rangers are in Surprise already, Yu Darvish is not one of them yet. However, as Richard Durrett writes, Darvish has already met a baseball player he'll soon become plenty familiar with.

On the DMN blog, Evan Grant has shared a few paragraphs of a behind-the-paywall piece examining the Darvish pandemonium that is about to descend upon Spring Training.

T.R Sullivan has notes about Charley Pride, Tim Purpura, and the handful of position players already in camp. Sullivan mostly writes about Matt Harrison saying he is ready to fight for his spot in the rotation, though.

Jeff Wilson has his own notes about Mike Napoli saying he will be 100% by opening day and on Matt Harrison not feeling complacent after a breakout 2011 season.

EG had a chat session on the DMN website yesterday. Here's Grant's take on how Darvish will fare in 2012 and here's his answer to a question about the lineup order, among other questions answered.

Durrett writes about the Rangers signing LHP Neal Cotts to a minor league non-spring training invite deal.

Finally, Robbie Griffin over at SB Nation Dallas-Ft. Worth writes about how it's a darn ol' good time to be a Texas Rangers fan these days.
