Some breaking news this morning...

Translated, the Rangers have apparently signed 17 year old Dominican prospect Jairo Beras (although other reports say he is 16) to a $4.5 million bonus. He is 6'5", 175 lbs., and I don't know much else about him.

Evan Grant is looking at 5 guys on the "hot seat" with Texas, and #5 is Koji Uehara.

According to Richard Durrett, people are still asking Ron Washington about a six man rotation, for reasons I can't really fathom.

If it is spring, we must be getting the "David Murphy wants to be an every day player" stories again. Today's is from Jeff Wilson.

Behind the paywall, Grant says it is time for Julio Borbon to win the starting CF position.

Durrett offers his "Surprise Six." Durrett also talks to lefty prospect Robbie Ross.

T.R. Sullivan's notes include stuff on Koji Uehara's success against lefties and the union meeting with Rangers players.

Gil Lebreton has a column on Leonys Martin.
