Per T.R. Sullivan, Craig Gentry is out of the lineup tonight with "some kind of virus" and the Rangers don't know when he'll be able to play again. He left yesterday's game due to dehydration, but it appears the dehydration issue was part of the virus problem.
As mentioned in the previous blog post, Gentry is apparently on the bubble for a spot on the 25 man roster, after seemingly having a spot locked up coming into the spring. Gentry has struggled offensively this spring and has missed time with ailments, fueling the Rangers concerns that he 1) won't hit much, and 2) can't stay healthy.
This could open the door for Julio Borbon's final shot at a semi-regular job with the Rangers, as if Gentry isn't going to be ready for Opening Day -- which is just 11 days away -- Borbon will likely make the team and will at least get a look in center.
