Tuesday Morning Rangers Update

The last time the Rangers won a spring training game the day I was due to write a Morning Update was March 12. On the spring, the Rangers are now 2-9 on such occasions. Sorry about that everybody.

T.R. Sullivan recaps the Rangers 12-2 win over the Cincinnati Reds.

Richard Durrett reacts to the Rangers' bats coming alive with notes from the game on the offensive explosion and Joe Nathan & Scott Feldman producing good outings.

Much like Adam wrote about yesterday, Sullivan has a piece on the uncertainty in the outfield right now.

Evan Grant chimes in on the outfield situation by writing that Julio Borbon is still competing for the center field job but the Rangers haven't ruled out going with Josh Hamilton.

Jeff Wilson writes about the lack of power from the Rangers this spring and how the Rangers believe the power will be there come the regular season.

Tracy Ringolsby wears a cowboy hat and writes about the rivalry between the Rangers and Angels.

Rick Gosselin thinks that Matt Harrison is the key to the Rangers' rotation.

Sullivan's notebook covers Colby Lewis and Neftali Feliz making minor league starts today, Conor Jackson's release, the lefty bullpen battle, and other things.

Drew Davison has notes covering Brad Hawpe facing a decision as to if he'd accept an assignment to Triple-A given the unlikelihood that he will make the opening day roster, among other notes.

Durrett has some updates on the injuries on going in camp.

Finally, Grant had a chat at the DMN yesterday and here are some excerpts from it. Among the questions answered: Grant thinks there should only be a little concern about Joe Nathan at this point and gives some reasons why.
