First, a minor site announcement...on the lefthand sidebar I have put up the offseason community prospect rankings, with links to the write-up I did of each player. I thought it would be useful to have that up.

Today is the Rangers' first real spring training game. Woo-hoo!!!

Jeff Wilson writes that, in a camp where almost every job is nailed down, Ron Washington's big concern is keeping everyone healthy.

T.R. Sullivan has a story on the Rangers' "top young arms" -- Martin Perez, Neil Ramirez, and Robbie Ross -- and notes how things have changed dramatically in the last few years, since they would have been the people in camp getting the most hype and attention a few years ago, whereas now they are in the shadows waiting their turn.

Randy Galloway has a column about Michael Young and him being the leader of the Rangers.

Tim Cowlishaw has a column about the expanded playoff system, and while most of it is behind the paywall, there is an excerpt up at the DMN blog.

Richard Durrett looks at Julio Borbon's battle to win the Rangers' centerfield job.

The S-T has a "getting to know" with Mike Olt this morning.

Durrett has his "Surprise Six" from yesterday.

The S-T's notes has stuff on Adrian Beltre hitting cleanup, Matt West's health, and the catching situation.

Sullivan's notes include blurbs on Beltre, West, the catchers, and Michael Kirkman.
