Rangers 6, Boston 3
- That's a sweep, in case you forgot this was a 2 game series.
- The Rangers have now swept their last 2 series. They are still undefeated on the road. Of course, we are headed to the House of Horrors known as Detroit for a 4 game series beginning tomorrow.
- 7 innings for Derek Holland. 7 Ks, 3 walks, 1 HR, and 2 runs allowed. I'll take that.
- The run off of Joe Nathan in the 9th was unearned. That's just the second unearned run the Rangers have allowed this year.
- Josh Hamilton is now 11 for his last 18, and drew his first walk of the year tonight.
- Mike Napoli is now 7 for his last 13, and 4 of those 7 hits are home runs.
- The Rangers as a team drew 5 walks tonight, an encouraging number in an area that has been problematic for the team so far this year.
- Brandon Snyder was 0 for 4 with 3 Ks and a rally-killing, pizza-spoiling, inning-ending, 1 out, bases loaded GIDP in the 8th inning, but he did make a very nice play on a line drive ripped by Jarrod Saltalamacchia that was turned into a game-ending double play.
