Scott Feldman is getting a spot start tonight because of the rain Friday night in Detroit that resulted in there being a doubleheader on Saturday, with Matt Harrison pitching the day game and Neftali Feliz pitching the evening game.
Because the Rangers don't want to have either Harrison or Feliz go on short rest, that means Feldman is pressed into duty tonight...but with an off day tomorrow, that also means that, if the Rangers stayed with their regular rotation order, everyone would be pitching on six days rest.
John Blake has informed us that rather than going that route, the Rangers will take the opportunity to skip Neftali Feliz's start:
Rangers probables versus Tampa Bay: Harrison, Lewis, Holland. Feliz will get some added time between starts and pitch Tuesday in Toronto.

One of the things we've talked about a lot is the need to manage Feliz's innings, given that he's spent most of the previous three years pitching out of the bullpen. By bumping Feliz until next Tuesday, it is tantamount to him skipping a start on normal rest, and the rest of the rotation pitches on five days rest instead of four this next trip through the rotation. It also means that Yu Darvish (who will pitch Monday) and Feliz go back to pitching on back-to-back days.
