Texas looks to break a three game losing streak tonight...

Jeff Wilson says in his game story that Colby Lewis didn't pitch poorly yesterday, but that the Indians capitalized on the mistakes he did make.

T.R. Sullivan's game story notes that Lewis picked up his first loss of the year.

Richard Durrett has his "Rapid Reaction" up at the ESPN Dallas blog.

Ron Washington said after the game that he stuck with Colby Lewis one batter too long, leaving Lewis in to face Johnny Damon with Robbie Ross ready in the bullpen.

Behind the paywall, Evan Grant talks about why Ron Washington said he deserves the blame for yesterday's loss.

Before yesterday's game, Texas and Cleveland made a minor deal, with Ryan Spilborghs coming to Texas from Cleveland in exchange for cash. Spilborghs is not on the 40 man roster and is being assigned to Round Rock, where he's essentially replacing Leonys Martin. Spilborghs provides the Rangers with some outfield depth, and I saw some suggestions that he should be brought up to the majors, but as a practical matter, he's not likely to represent a significant upgrade over Brandon Snyder. Spilborghs isn't going to solve the Rangers' problem in terms of finding a righty bench bat...what he does do is provide the Rangers with some insurance in case one of their major league outfielders gets hurt.

On the injury front, Josh Hamilton returned after missing three games with what he says was a "mis-aligned rib." Adrian Beltre, meanwhile, had another MRI on his hamstring, which showed no additional damage, although he wasn't able to start yesterday.

The S-T's notes talk about the team's injury situation, Neftali Feliz's next start being pushed back a day, and the Spilborghs acquisition.

Sullivan's notes include quotes from Joe Nathan about Mariano Rivera, Matt Harrison finding a mechanical flaw which was contributing to his problems the last couple of days, Beltre sitting, and the Spilborghs acquisition.
