The Texas Rangers selected lefty-hitting third baseman Joey Gallo with the first of their two supplemental first round picks, although he was considered to potentially be a tough sign, with Kevin Goldstein saying he heard Gallo's asking price was $2.5 million.
Well, whatever his asking price is, it sounds like the Rangers are meeting it...from Twitter this morning:

The Rangers seemed optimistic that they would sign all three of their first day picks, but still, it is good to hear that one of the really intriguing players they snagged looks like he'll be in the fold and playing right away.
