When Baseball Prospectus updated their Playoff Odds page this morning, there was good news for Rangers fans...
The latest Playoff Odds have the Rangers with a 97.4% chance of winning the A.L. West, and a 100% chance of making the playoffs. BP gives the A's a 2.5% chance of winning the West, and the Angels a 0.2% chance.
The only race that BP sees as being that tight is the A.L. Central, where the Tigers and the ChiSox are separated by just one game. Otherwise, the National League division winners and wild card teams appear to be pretty well locked in, and in the A.L., the Angels are given less than a 25% chance of catching either the Oakland A's or the Baltimore Orioles for the final Wild Card slot.
