There's also the traditional "awful trade proposal" this week, with Jacob in Austin suggesting that Texas trade "Ian Kinsler or Andrus and Derek Holland or Matt Harrison along with some prospects" for Robinson Cano, who is a free agent after 2013 and who is looking for a record-setting contract.

Yeah. I'm guessing the Yankees would be all over that deal. The Rangers? Not so much
