It feels so cold and empty now that Justin Upton has actually been traded and I can't force an Upton rumor into the morning update.

As far as the promised news and/or notes, well, the staff at the DMN recap Jon Daniels' appearance on the SiriusXM's "Inside Pitch" show where Daniels said we probably shouldn't expect very much news, and therefore notes, until Spring Training.

Richard Durrett keeps the Surprise position outlook series going with a look at the Rangers' setup relief options. Get well soon, Joakim Soria.

The DMN writes a prospect primer on prolifically powerful, strikeout prone, decent third base defender, and future owner of nonstop Chris Davis comparisons: 2012 draftee Joey Gallo. P.S. Gallo kind of looks like Will Clark in the photo on the article.

Behind the DMN paywall, Evan Grant writes about Lance Berkman putting off retirement to win one for the state of Texas! (And because money!)

Lastly, here's the Rangers logo drawn left-handed by memory in MS Paint:

Still better than the 1994 logo.
