The bad news: The 2013 season is over.
The good news: The Lance Berkman era is over.
Here are some links that I am too bummed to read:
Todd Wills - Rapid Reaction: Rays 5, Rangers 2
T.R. Sullivan - Rangers run out of steam in tiebreaker loss to Rays
Jeff Wilson - Rangers season ends with 5-2 loss to Tampa Bay
Evan Grant - The lone bright spot for Rangers came from their starting pitcher
Anthony Andro - Texas run ends as Rays deny Rangers playoff bid
Gil LeBreton - Once object of Rangers' desire, Price ruins postseason dreams
David Schoenfield - Simple analysis: Price and Longoria good
Master Tesfatsion - Perez already looking forward to next season
Drew Davison - Nelson Cruz receives a warm reception but doesn't deliver for the Rangers
Jean-Jacques Taylor - No promised land for Cruz, Rangers
Tim Cowlishaw - Why the Rangers missed the playoffs: GM, play-style failures
Sullivan - Washington: 'We have to make adjustments'
Richard Durrett - Don't blame Washington for team's failures
Matt Mosley - Rangers' season lost during dreadful September, again
Kevin Sherrington - Another September, another sickening exit for Rangers
Sullivan's Notebook - Injured Rangers pitcher Lewis throws out first pitch
I did read this one: Grantland's Bryan Curtis' The Riddle of Ron Washington
If Texas doesn't go deep in the postseason, I'm guessing Wash will be to the Rangers what Avery Johnson was to the Dallas Mavericks. He'll be the guy who took them further than they ever got, but won't ever get to take 'em all the way.

Bring on the Brian McCann era.
