Rangers open at 16:1 to win the 2014 World Series

J. Meric

Bovada has released the first set of odds to win the 2014 World Series, and the Rangers are not the team that Bovada thinks is the most likely A.L. West squad to win the World Series.

Neither are the Oakland A's, who have won the division the last two years.

No, Bovada says the 78 win Anaheim Angels, at 14:1, have the 6th best chance of any MLB team -- and the best chance of any A.L. West team -- to win the World Series.  I guess the Bovada folks are fired up about what Matt Garza will do for Anaheim once he signs there.

Texas and Oakland are at 16:1, along with the Yankees, the Braves, the Reds and the Rays.

The Dodgers are the favorites, with the Tigers at #2.
