Poll -- Should Texas have signed Dan Haren?

Dan Haren agreed to a 1 year, $10 million deal with the Los Angeles Dodgers. Would that have been a good deal for Texas?

Mike Ehrmann

The Dodgers have signed Dan Haren to a 1 year, $10 million deal with a vesting option for 2015 if he pitches 180 innings. I have not seen the dollar figure for the vesting option, but I'd assume it is in the $10-12 million range.

There has been some discussion that the Rangers should get a veteran starting pitcher in here to provide additional depth to the rotation and allow Alexi Ogando to move back to the bullpen. Haren wasn't very good last year, but $10 million is a reasonable dollar figure for what you'd expect him to do in 2014.

So the question is...if this was the cost for Haren, would you have wanted the Rangers to sign him?
