Everyone, get back to work.
It's December now so that means we're a week away from the baseball Winter Meetings. Before baseball's solstice swap meet can get underway, there are formalities such as offering contracts to arbitration-eligible players to tend to. Teams have until 10:59 p.m. CT to make these contract decisions.
T.R. Sullivan writes that all five Rangers eligible for arbitration will likely be tendered by Texas. We should expect to see Mitch Moreland, Craig Gentry, Neftali Feliz, Alexi Ogando and Neal Cotts all offered arbitration before tonight's deadline.
The DMN has a transcript of David Murphy's appearance on local radio to say his goodbyes to Ranger fans. Yes, Murph noticed the disproportionate amount of Texas-love he received from fans. He was grateful.
Finally, David Schoenfield offers up a slew of three-way trade ideas. None of them involve the Rangers (though one involves former Ranger farmhands) but they're fun to look at nonetheless.
