Sullivan examines pen situation, says Yoshi is back

New, comments

In a blog post examining the Rangers' bullpen situation, T.R. Sullivan buries the lede, informing us that Texas has re-signed Yoshinori Tateyama to a minor league contract

T.R. Sullivan has a blog post up in which he breaks down the remaining candidates for the Rangers' bullpen, predicting that Tanner Scheppers and Josh Lindblom win the final two spots, that Nate Robertson or Joe Ortiz could squeak in if Derek Lowe or Michael Kirkman make the rotation instead of Nick Tepesch, and saying that the Rangers will likely try to work out a deal to keep Rule 5 pick Coty Woods in the organization.

And there's also this surprise at the end of the post:

RHP Yoshinori Tateyama – Two days after releasing him, the Rangers sign him back to a Minor League contract. Go figure.

So, apparently, Yoshi is back.
