The Rangers offense has sputtered the last couple of games, and the Mariners are starting lefthanded pitcher Joe Saunders. The combination of the two has apparently led Ron Washington to shake up the Rangers' lineup a little bit.

Lance Berkman, who had a rough outing yesterday and who is weaker against lefty pitchers, is sitting tonight, with Elvis Andrus moving to DH and Leury Garcia starting at shortstop. Garcia is making his first major league start. Wash is also sitting Leonys Martin and Mitch Moreland, both of whom are lefthanders who have not been hitting well this season. Craig Gentry starts for Martin in center, and Jeff Baker starts for Moreland at 1B.

The complete lineup is:

Ian Kinsler -- 2B

Elvis Andrus -- DH

Adrian Beltre -- 3B

Nelson Cruz -- RF

A.J. Pierzynski -- C

Jeff Baker -- 1B

David Murphy -- LF

Craig Gentry -- CF

Leury Garcia -- SS

Alexi Ogando gets the start on the mound for Texas.
