Colby Lewis throws 1 IP in extended spring game

Colby Lewis, working his way back from flexor tendon surgery, took another step towards returning to action today

USA TODAY Sports

Per the Rangers beat reporters on Twitter, Colby Lewis took another successful step on the road back to the Ranger rotation today, throwing one inning (17 pitches) in an extended spring training game.

Drew Davison writes that Colby will throw a bullpen on Wednesday, throw in another extended spring game on Saturday, and then possibly go out on a rehab assignment. That would likely put him on schedule to return to the big league rotation towards the end of May.
