Saturday morning Rangers news and links

So, with last night's win, and the A's losing, the Rangers are now up 5 games in the A.L. West. In fact, the Seattle Mariners are now just a half-game back of Oakland in the race for second place.

Drew Davison's game story talks about Nelson Cruz's home run that hit the glass panels over the left field seats.

T.R. Sullivan's game story talks about the home runs and the outstanding work by the bullpen being the difference for Texas.

Todd Wills has his Rapid Reaction at ESPN Dallas.

Barry Horn writes that the Rangers won despite making mistakes last night.

Sullivan's notes talk about Geovany Soto being the starter behind the plate while A.J. Pierzynski is hurt, Neil Ramirez putting himself back on the prospect map, and the minor league award winners for April.

The S-T's notes talk about Colby Lewis's rehab start, Elvis Andrus's errorless streak (that was broken in the first inning of yesterday's game), and Robinson Chirinos making it to Minute Maid Park less than an hour before game time.

Wills has notes on Lewis's rehab, the catching situation and how Robinson Chirinos won't catch Yu Darvish, and Ron Washington's thoughts on the umpire drama in the Houston/Angels games on Thursday.
