Sunday morning Rangers stuff

Sorry for how late this is getting up...I slept later than usual this morning...

So, the Rangers lost again, and looked awful offensively again, last night. But the A's got shut out yesterday, and gave up a grand slam to Henry Blanco in the process, so the Rangers didn't lose any ground in the West.

Anthony Andro's game story talks about the Rangers struggling to score runs once again, as they went 1 for 13 with runners in scoring position yesterday.

T.R. Sullivan also focuses in his game story on the offense's struggles, but he says the team went 1 for 12 with RISP. I'm not sure if he or Andro are correct.

Jeff Wilson's writes in his game story that Josh Lindblom's start yesterday would normally be good enough for fans to be satisfied with it, given that he's a spot starter, but the Ranger offense is such now that a starting pitcher can't give up any runs.

Todd Wills has his Rapid Reaction at the ESPN Dallas blog.

Wilson has a story on Ian Kinsler being activated and Leury Garcia being optioned, with Jurickson Profar getting to stay in the majors as the utility infielder. Jon Daniels is quoted as saying that, if Profar wasn't going to play, they wouldn't have kept him up.

Richard Durrett says the Rangers can get Profar enough playing time to make it worthwhile to keep him in the majors.
