Listing the players the Rangers select on the second day of the 2013 MLB Draft

Ronald Martinez

3rd round pick (#99 overall) -- David Ledbetter, RHP, Cedarville University.

Ledbetter is listed at 6'1", 185 lbs, is 21 years old, and, per his bio on the Cedarville University website, is married. He is ranked #210 on the Baseball America top 500 list.

4th round pick (#130 overall) -- Isaiah Kiner-Falefa, SS, Mid-Pacific Institute (Hawaii)

Kiner-Falefa is listed 5'10", 165 lbs, and is 18 years old.

5th round pick (#160 overall) -- Joe Jackson, C, The Citadel

Jackson is listed at 6'1", 190 lbs., and is a lefthanded hitting catcher

6th round pick (#190 overall) -- Sam Wolff, RHP, University of New Mexico

Wolff is a college senior, which makes him someone who will likely sign for less than slot. He's listed at 6'1", 190 lbs.

7th round pick (#220 overall) -- Nick Gardewine, RHP, Kaskaskia Community College

Gardewine is a 6'1", 160 lb. righthanded pitcher. He is 19 years old.

8th round pick (#250 overall) -- Evan Van Hoosier, 2B, College of Southern Nevada

Van Hoosier is a 5'1", 190 lb. righthanded second baseman. He is 19 years old. Jim Callis apparently said nice things about his bat on the broadcast after the pick was announced.

9th round pick (#280 overall) -- Jose Samayoa, RHP, Lee University

Samayoa is a 6', 205 lb. righthanded pitcher from Lee University in Tennessee. He is a college senior, and thus will likeliy sign for less than slot.

10th round pick (#310 overall) -- Cole Wiper, RHP, University of Oregon

This is an intriguing pick. Wiper is a 6'3", 180 lb. righthanded pitcher who is a draft-eligible redshirt freshman. He was in Baseball America's top 200 draft eligible prospects as a high school senior in 2011. He has pitched only 12.2 innings for Oregon in two years because of Tommy John surgery.
