Justin Grimm leaves game with injury

Justin Grimm left tonight's start in the fourth inning due to an injury

Justin Grimm was pulled with one out in the fourth inning of tonight's start against the Detroit Tigers with an apparent injury.

Grimm shook his arm after delivering a pitch to Prince Fielder, prompting the trainer and Ron Washington to come out. After checking him out, Wash pulled Grimm and brought in reliever Joseph Ortiz.

Grimm got off to an awful start to the game, allowing 5 runs in the first and 2 runs in the second, but had retired five batters in a row before allowing a bloop single to Miguel Cabrera immediately prior to the pitch that led to his departure.

The Ranger rotation is already riddled with injuries, as Nick Tepesch, Yu Darvish, Colby Lewis, Matt Harrison and Alexi Ogando are all on the disabled list currently. Darvish is expected to be activated after the All Star Break, but if Grimm's injury lands him on the d.l., the Rangers would likely bring Josh Lindblom up after the break to take his place.
