So, brunch with the Rangers?
There is rain in the forecast for Saturday afternoon and evening in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, which has had folks wondering whether Saturday's 7:05 game would end up getting delayed or rained out. This is obviously a much bigger issue at this time of year, with a team in the playoff race, given that the season is about to end and there aren't later dates available for a makeup game.
The Rangers have opted to be pro-active with the situation and have moved Saturday's start time from 7:05 p.m. to 11:05 a.m. That game is expected to feature Derek Holland going for the Rangers and Garrett Richards pitching for the Angels.
If the Rangers were to lose tonight, and Cleveland and Tampa were to win, Saturday's game would lose a significant amount of its importance, as Texas would need to win both the weekend games while the Indians lose both their weekend games in order to force a Game 163. A Ranger win tonight, though, keeps them in the hunt as they try to catch the Indians and Rays, and thus Saturday's game would be pretty critical.
