So far this season, Martin Perez has won games where the opponent's starting pitcher was Shelby Miller, Johnny Cueto, Chris Sale, Felix Hernandez (twice), and now Bartolo Colon.

The Ace Slayer lives.

With the win tonight, the Rangers will leave Oakland tomorrow no worse than tied for the AL West lead.

Player of the Game: Perez went seven innings, allowed one run, struck out five A's and walked none. Perez is now 9-3, hasn't lost since July 21, and has probably worked his way into the A.L. ROY conversation.
