The Rangers staked Matt Garza to a 3-0 lead but he couldn't bulldog/winner/gut out a victory as he allowed the Angels to bat around in the fourth inning and gave C.J. Wilson new life. Garza has now allowed four or more runs in six of his nine starts as a Ranger.

The Rangers scored five runs. Elvis Andrus even hit a home run. Somehow, it wasn't enough.

Player of the Game: Alex Rios, the other big name that the Rangers acquired from the Windy City, reached base in all four plate appearances which included a homer, stole base, and two RBI.
