Gallo, of course, has exciting tools -- of the top 10 third basemen on MLB.com's list, only three "75" grades were given out, and two of those were to Gallo (power and arm) -- but the questions about Gallo's contact rate and whether his hit tool will be good enough for his incredible power to be actualized at the major league level keep him from being higher on the list.
Miguel Sano of the Twins -- who also got a 75 grade for his raw power -- is the #1 prospect on the list. Mike Olt and Christian Villanueva, former Ranger third base prospects who were traded to the Cubs in mid-season deals in 2013 and 2012, respectively, did not crack the list.
