Good morning everyone...
So, we've got quite the sports day today...there's game two of the ALCS, game one of the NLCS, Texas v. Oklahoma, TCU v. Baylor, Auburn v. Mississippi State, and A&M v. Ole Miss. It is a good day to get comfortable in front of the television and enjoy games...
Meanwhile, in Rangerland, Jeff Wilson writes that the Rangers are expected to name a new manager this coming week.
T.R. Sullivan writes that the Rangers have finished their first round of interviews, and could bring a few candidates back for a second round of interviews, or could just pick someone. He says that there are seven candidates, and doesn't list Kevin Cash, who interviewed earlier this week, though I would guess that's an oversight rather than an indication that Cash is off the list now.
Evan Grant writes that, having done the first round of interviews with the eight candidates, the Rangers are expected to bring three candidates back for a second round of interviews this week.
Tim Bogar had interviewed for the Arizona Diamondbacks managerial job, but the D-Backs have winnowed their list down to four finalists, and Bogar didn't make the list.
