Good morning. I had a dream Saturday night that Yu Darvish was hired as manager of the Rangers and that his interpreter would manage on days Darvish pitched. Also, it was determined that Derek Holland would be responsible for deciding when Darvish would be pulled from games. So, I guess that's always an option if Tim Bogar doesn't work out.
Speaking of Holland, cower as Ben & Skin forces you to step into the mind of Dutch as he answers questions about the Rangers contending next season, his level of AL West schadenfreude, and his guilty sports cheerleader secret.
Jon Roegele of The Hardball Times has a lengthy and well researched piece about the recovery from Tommy John surgery which is relevant to all teams these days.
While we're at it, months back John Paschal of THT wrote an excellent essay on how we end up with our favorite baseball player. His favorite player, like mine, is Adrian Beltre. Most times, I tuned in this season simply because I knew I'd get to see Adrian Beltre play.
That's it for today. The Rangers should have a manager by the end of the week. It probably won't be Yu Darvish.
