Texas Rangers prospects: Nomar Mazara, Lewis Brinson make Baseball America Sally League top 20

Baseball America's top 20 prospect least for the South Atlantic League includes two Rangers outfielders

Texas Rangers prospects:  Outfielders Nomar Mazara and Lewis Brinson cracked the Baseball America top 20 list for the South Atlantic League, with Mazara coming in at #13 and Brinson at #20.

At the risk of sounding homerish, I think both players are possibly ranked too low on this list...Mazara had a breakout 2014 campaign that saw him get red hot in mid-May and earn a promotion to AA Frisco, where he continued to rake.  Brinson, meanwhile, struggled to stay healthy, but still had a .335/.405/.579 line at Hickory, with good baserunning and defense in center field.  I have a hard time believing that, for example, 24 year old Mike Yastrzemski, a 14th round pick as a college senior in 2013, is a better prospect than Brinson.

Regardless, its a nice bit of recognition for the pair, both of whom took big steps forward in 2014.
