24 year old righthander Cody Kendall has been named to the Arizona Fall League All-Star team.  Kendall has a 5.68 ERA in 6.1 IP, with 3 Ks, 0 walks, and 2 home runs allowed.

Kendall being named over fellow Ranger farmhand Josh McElwee is a bit of a surprise.  McElwee has allowed just 3 hits and 2 walks in 6.2 IP, putting up a perfect 0.00 ERA while strking out 9.

Other Ranger pitchers who are toiling in the AFL right now are Sam Wolff, who has a 9.45 ERA in 6.2 IP, with 6 Ks and 4 walks, and Lisalverto Bonilla, who has started 3 games and put up a 5.40 ERA in 11.2 IP, with 11 Ks and 6 walks.

Among Ranger batters in the AFL, Nick Williams has a .267/.290/.417 line with 16 Ks in 60 ABs, but 0 walks.  Shortstop Michael DeLeon, at just 17 years old the youngest player in the AFL, has a .231/.259/.231 line in 26 at bats, fanning just 5 times against 1 walk.  And catcher Pat Cantwell has a .200/.333/.200 line in 20 ABs.
