Good morning.
MLB.com's Paul Hagen writes about the annual General Managers Meetings beginning this week as sort of the unofficial kick off to the Hot Stove season. We're just days away from Torii Hunter signing somewhere! GM Jon Daniels' primary goals for the meetings will be initiating A.J. Preller into the secret society of local paper instigators and not trading for Carl Crawford.
Over at Fangraphs, Dave Cameron predicts that the Rangers will sign Jason Hammel and Francisco Rodriguez this offseason and make their biggest pitching acquisition via trade. He also has Alex Rios going to the Giants to covertly ruin their reign of October terror.
Lastly:
You aren't standing on second and driving in runs if you take a walk.
