Evan Grant has a new blog post up that talks about the hiring of Steve Buechele as the team's third base bench coach, and how Buechele's recent promotion and continuing rise through the Rangers' system helps dispel the narrative about various "camps" existing, or having existed, within the Rangers' front office.
I'd suggest you read the whole thing, but in a nutshell, Evan says that Buechele was a Nolan Ryan "guy," and if there were a purge of "Ryan guys" since Ryan's departure, Buechele would have been one of the first to go. Instead, he's being promoted.
