Report: Jon Daniels & Thad Levine Receive Contract Extensions

Per Jon Heyman, Jon Daniels and Thad Levine have agreed to multi-year contract extensions.

Jon Heyman of CBS Sports has a story that both Jon Daniels and Thad Levine both quietly received multi-year contract extensions in the past two weeks.

JD's contract was set to expire at the end of the 2015 season and this extension prevents him from going into the season as a lame duck President of Baseball Operations.

The article didn't specify, but I'm assuming that JD's compensation was directly tied to the number of Facebook comments per minute generated as well as various contract escalators for causing old men to shake their fists at clouds.
