Adrian Beltre won the Silver Slugger Award yesterday for being the best hitter among third basemen.

Jeff Wilson writes that Tim Bogar thought he was going to be the Rangers' manager, but thinks Jon Daniels wanted a "new voice."  Bogar also says he wanted to return as bench coach, but the Rangers wanted to go in a different direction.

MLB.com has a story on Ranger minor league shortstop Michael DeLeon, who, at the age of 17, is the youngest player in the AFL.
