As part of the SB Nation MLB awards, the Lone Star Ball community is voting on the top defensive Rangers play in 2014.
This one is pretty straight forward. Over 162 games this summer, the Rangers collectively made 4,374 plays to record an out. Here are some of the better ones.
A note: Perhaps the best move any franchise can make to defend themselves would be not trading for a Chicago Cubs pitcher. The Rangers already knew this but it was a lesson the A's had to learn the hard way this season.
Let's get to the nominees (in order by date)!
Leonys Martin robs Daric Barton, doubles off Josh Reddick
Speedy Jose Reyes displays hubris, runs on Leonys Martin
Elvis Andrus does a little dance, makes a little love, turns a double play
