Wednesday Morning Links

The "I forgot to do the links edition."

Jake Roth-USA TODAY Sports

Whoa, is my face red.  I completely forgot to do the links.  And by "forgot," I don't mean "passive-aggressively sabotaging the blog out of a misplaced anger at AJM for reasons many and varied."

Delino DeShields is eager to make an impact as a fourth outfielder and super-utility guy.

Derek Holland, Shin-Soo Choo, and Elvis Andrus participated in a toy drive and visited Cook Children's yesterday.

The Rangers signed right handed reliever Kyuji Fujikawa, and the deal will be finalized when a 40 man roster spot is opened for him.

Jon Daniels doesn't expect for Neftali Feliz to give Fujikawa an opening to become the Rangers' closer, but maybe he should.

Gerry Fraley says the Rangers have had to tinker with the 40 man roster to make room for pitchers.

Daniels hasn't decided if the team will grant DeShields permission to continue to play for the Crabbers in the Dominican Winter League.

The Rangers DFA'd Ben Rowen and Scott Barnes yesterday to make room for Kyuji Fujikawa and Colby Lewis.

The team is trying to build depth in the bullpen by signing Fujikawa.

The team is also looking to induce more ground balls in 2015.
