Mark Mulder injury: a ruptured Achilles tendon has put an end to the comeback attempt of Mark Mulder.

Mulder, who signed a minor league deal with the Anaheim Angels in an attempt to return to the majors, was reportedly doing agility drills on the first day of camp today when he suffered the ruptured Achilles.

Mulder has not pitched in the majors since 2008, and was signed by the Angels in the hopes that he could provide the team with a potential option for the back end of their rotation.
