Matt Harrison to pitch one inning Tuesday

Matt Harrison will pitch in a live game tomorrow for the first time this spring

USA TODAY Sports

Its the return of Matt Harrison...

After being slowed earlier this spring because of a stiff back, reportedly the result of sleeping on the wrong kind of mattress, Matt Harrison will take the mound tomorrow and pitch one inning in a "B" game.

This will be the first time Harrison has thrown in an actual game since last summer -- his last appearance was on August 9, 2013, when he threw three innings in a rehab outing for the Round Rock Express, prior to being shut down for the season.

All the press accounts indicate that Harrison feels good physically, and it is just a matter of building up his arm strength and getting back up to speed.  Although Harrison is expected to start the season on the disabled list, it doesn't sound like he is expected to miss more than a start or two.
